HealthTrust has clinical and non-clinical advisory
boards by specialty area. Our clinical advisory boards include:
-
Cardiovascular
-
Food & Nutrition
-
Laboratory
-
Nursing
-
Pharmacy
-
Radiology
-
Surgery
Our non-clinical advisory boards include:
-
Supply Chain
-
Information Services
Ongoing input from the nurses, pharmacists,
specialty technicians,
physicians, materials managers and other front-line
experts serving on our boards plays a crucial role in
the contracting process.
Each board is led by a
HealthTrust employee whose mission is to provide
direction and guidance to board members and coordinate
product evaluations. The clinical advisory board leaders
all have prior facility level management experience as
well as
clinical expertise in their respective specialty area.
The non-clinical advisory boards are led by a
professional familiar with the specialty area they
represent. The clinical advisory board members are
hands-on facility level representatives from partners
and members who facilitate review of products, suppliers
and emerging technologies and provide subject matter
expertise and direction to the HealthTrust contracting
team.
Advisory board approval is required prior to signing
off on any contract agreement. As a result, there is
tremendous alignment among members and a strong
commitment to contract adoption.
Our supply chain board offers specific
guidance on contracting needs, strategy and plans. It is
made up of senior supply chain executives from
HealthTrust partners and members. |

"Sky Ridge Medical Center
has been a member of Health Trust Purchasing Group since
we opened in August of 2003. Prior to that I worked at
Rose Medical Center where I have had the opportunity to
participate as a clinical advisor to HealthTrust in
regards to surgical supplies. As a former Director of
Surgical Services and as a CNO I know how important it
is to have products that are safe and effective for
patients. I believe that Health Trust Purchasing Group
has developed a model that assists facilities with
procuring the best product at the best price."
