About HealthTrust
National Agreements

"Sky Ridge Medical Center has been a member of Health Trust Purchasing Group since we opened in August of 2003. Prior to that I worked at Rose Medial Center where I have had the opportunity to participate as a clinical advisor to HealthTrust in regards to surgical supplies. As a former Director of Surgical Services and as a CNO I know how important it is to have products that are safe and effective for patients. I believe that Health Trust Purchasing Group has developed a model that assists facilities with procuring the best product at the best price."

The Advisory Boards are your voice within HealthTrust providing critical feedback as they seek to understand the products, services and vendors that best meet the clinical needs of your patients and caregivers. Our Clinical Advisory Boards consist of Laboratory, Nursing, Pharmacy, Radiology and Surgery.  Our Non-Clinical Boards at Materials Management, Food & Nutrition and Information Services

The Advisory Boards find the best price for clinically or technology-related recommended products, ensure their timely delivery, and continuously evaluate and improve our services to the patients, physicians and clinicians we serve.

How do we do that?  By putting patients first…ALWAYS!

We aim to support patient care delivery by ensuring HealthTrust’s contracts provide cost effective supplies and equipment that are consistent, dependable, and clinically accepted by the entire medical team.

Our Advisory Board Members provide evaluation and communication to and from the field regarding clinical products and services for recommendations to HealthTrust’s National Agreements Team. Through these defined efforts we strive to obtain the highest quality standardized, supplies, equipment, technology and services to our patients, physicians and staff.

The Clinical Advisory Boards are made up of nurses, clinicians, managers and, in some cases, physicians representing facilities and hospital groups throughout HealthTrust’s membership. On average each board consists of 12 from across HealthTrust’s membership. The advisory boards meet several times per year and participate in monthly conference calls.

Each Clinical Advisory Boards is lead by a AVP within HealthTrust whose mission is to provide direction and guidance to Board members and assimilate their evaluations. Armed with the Advisory Boards' input, our National Agreements Team can better negotiate toward the highest quality products at a cost-effective price.

The Clinical Advisory Boards serve as a communication channel networking back and forth between the facilities and HealthTrust. For instance, prior to each scheduled meeting the board members solicit facility input to ensure a comprehensive and exhaustive evaluation of the products, services and vendors scheduled for review and to identify new opportunities for future contract development and strategies.

The Clinical Advisory Boards are your voice within HealthTrust. We want to understand what products and services you need most and the vendors you prefer to use.

The backbone of HealthTrust is our Clinical Advisory Boards and National Agreements Team. The Advisory Boards provide critical feedback on the practical usability and desirability of all products and services in our portfolio, as well as potential product offerings.
